Board of Directors 2010-2011
Maureen Thompson-Siegel – President
The President is responsible setting the tone for the Association. The President presides over monthly Board meetings. The President is also the Chief Executive Officer of the Association and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees of the association. The President may vote on any matter in order to determine the outcome of any motion before the Board.
Dan Auslander – Treasurer/VP-President Elect
The Treasurer is responsible for the funds of the Association and shall keep full and accurate accounts of said funds. This position shall prepare an annual financial report to the Board. This position is the chair of the Financial Assistance committee. The Vice President shall, in general, be the President Elect and shall perform all duties and exercise all powers of the President in the absence of the President. The Vice President shall perform such other duties as delegated by the President.
Brian Cooleen – Past President
The Past President is responsible for providing the history for all decisions made during his tenure as President. The Past President serves in an advisory role for one year after the end of his tenure as President.
Vicky Patas – Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for keeping an accurate record of all meetings, including attendance. The Secretary is responsible for the distribution of minutes of the meeting as well as responsible for maintaining an up to date directory of all members. The Secretary maintains the permanent file of the association’s correspondence (including all insurance information) and shall prepare outgoing correspondence as requested.
Joe Bonavico – NJYHL Delegate
The NJYHL Delegate represents the Association at all NJYHL meetings. The NJYHL Delegate is a voting member of the NJYHL and is responsible for disseminating information received at the NJYHL meetings to the Board and the Association.
Dave Clayton and Grant Ward – Alternate NJYHL Delegate
The Alternate Delegate is responsible for attending the NJYHL meetings when the Delegate is not available. The Alternate Delegate has all the responsibilities of the Delegate.
Maureen Thompson-Siegel – Master Scheduler
The Master Scheduler is responsible for securing locations and times for practices and games for all teams. The Master Scheduler is responsible for scheduling all NJYHL games for all teams and for assigning referees for all games, both league and non-league. Only the Master Scheduler can cancel NJYHL games.
Maureen Thompson-Siegel – Head Manager
The Head Manager is responsible for convening the annual managers meeting. The Head Manager is responsible for training new managers in their responsibilities to the Association and to NJYHL.
Joe Bonavico – Discipline and Conflict Resolution Committee Chair
The Chairperson of this committee is responsible to assure that all game suspensions are served in accordance with the NJYHL rules and regulations. The Committee Chair is responsible for the review and recommendation of all instances of poor sportsmanship, breach of code of conduct issues, etc. and advise the Board of these issues and the subsequent outcome.
Neil Habig – Volunteer Coordination Chair
This Chairperson is the point of contact for all volunteers in our organization (except coaches and managers). The chair will contact, coordinate and provide support for all volunteer positions throughout the season.

Non-Board Member Responsibilities
Wendi Lasko - Registrar
The Registrar maintains the official team rosters. The Registrar accepts all new registrations at tryouts and during the season.
Wendi Lasko - Webmaster
The webmaster is responsible for maintaining the Association website.
Ian McNally – ACE Coordinator
The ACE Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of USA Hockey player and parent education programs to the members of the Association.
Ian McNally – Director of Coaching and Player Development
The Head of Coaches is responsible for supervising, evaluating and training the Association’s coaches. The Head of Coaches is responsible for communicating and maintaining records of Coaching Certification Requirements and ensures compliance with USA Hockey certification levels. The Head of Coaches is chairperson of the Coaches committee utilized for recruitment of coaches for preparation for the next season.
Stephanie Duke – Accident/Injury Liaison
The Accident/Injury Liaison is the Association contact for all injuries that need to be reported to the NJYHL. These issues will be handled in coordination with the Discipline Committee Chair, the NJYHL Delegate and the President.
Mickey Weinberg - Uniforms and Spirit Wear
Uniforms and Spirit wear orders are accepted by these contacts and placed with the related vendors.
Jane and Jim Brady - Team Photo Coordinator
This position is responsible for scheduling All Sport Photo to come to Baker Rink to take individual and team photos during practice sessions. This is generally accomplished in the fall, once all teams have their uniforms.
Darius Stafford - Goalie Clinic Coordinator
This position is responsible for coordinating the attendance of goalies and sufficient shooters for the goalie clinics that are scheduled through the season.
Andrea Demoine and Cheryl McCormick – End of Season Banquet Committee Chairperson
This position is responsible for planning and execution the end of season banquet.
Matthew Parris – Princeton University Varsity Team Ticket Coordinator
This position is responsible for coordinating ticket distribution for attendance at Varsity games.
Bob Joyce – Equipment Manager
This position is responsible for all equipment for all teams, pucks, water bottles, first aid kits, helmet stickers, etc
.
Ed Quinn – Tournament Coordinator
This position is the liaison between the tournament sponsors and PYHA. All managers will work with this position to book tournaments and hotels for same.
Vicky Patas – Tailgate Party Chairperson
This position is responsible for organizing and hosting the annual tailgate party held at Princeton University.
Vacant – Publicity Coordinator
This position is responsible for handling all media coverage for our program including articles in the local newspapers, etc. This position will work in concert with the webmaster to publicize PYHA and its accomplishments.
